Karen: We have Alesha Escobar today to tell us about her fantastic new tale! Good morning, Alesha. Let’s start with you telling the
readers a little about yourself.
Alesha: Thanks so much for inviting me to
your blog today, Karen! I’m a shameless chocoholic, a lover of caffeine, great
books, and wicked humor. I was born and raised in Los Angeles, California, and
still live here with my children and husband, Luis, who’s the other half of my
creative mind.
Karen: Logan 6 is your new release. Tell us a little about
the story. What inspired you to write this tale?
Alesha:
When I settled on writing a time travel story for the Masters of Time
anthology, I knew I wanted to work on a sci-fi story (I had just completed my
Gray Tower Trilogy fantasy series). The idea of a clone engaging in time travel
kept nagging at me, and I knew it wouldn’t leave me alone until I gave it all
the attention it wanted. It turned into “Logan 6,” and I couldn’t be more
happier with the story.
Karen: Logan is the hero of the story. What is he
like? What is his first impression when he meets Anika , the heroine of
the story?
Alesha: Logan is a genetically enhanced
clone. He was made to be obedient, and to be a weapon. However, once he meets
this beautiful, graceful woman Anika (who knows how to throw a mean punch, by
the way), he realizes that there’s more to life than just taking orders. There
are things like beauty, love, and finding your own destiny. Logan begins
questioning things, especially his makers--and that’s when things get dangerous.
Karen: Tell us about this first meeting.
What does she think of the hero?
Alesha: At first Anika is afraid, but she
also feels sorry for him, because Logan is “Logan 6” for a reason. What
happened to the other five who came before him? Being a clone in the future
doesn’t afford you the same rights as a natural born human in this world.
Karen: What are your current projects and
works in progress?
Alesha: I’m currently working on an urban
fantasy, but if you’ve enjoyed Logan 6, please feel free to check out my Gray
Tower Trilogy (it’s Agent Carter with a supernatural twist), and my other short
story, The Black Dagger Gods.
Karen: Tell the readers where they can find
you:
Karen: Is there anything else you’d like to
tell the readers?
Alesha: Thank you readers for supporting me
thus far and riding this crazy rollercoaster with me. If you’re new, please
don’t hesitate to check out my work.
Karen: Are you going to run a contest? If so what
will you be giving away as the prize?
Alesha: Now that you mention it, we are having a
massive giveaway to celebrate the release of Masters of Time. We’ve got signed
paperpacks, free ebooks, audiobook coupons, Amazon gift cards, tote bags,
journals--you name it!
